Will is just happy to be able to blame his "bodily functions" on more than the dog. But, sometimes it really is Lilah.
As a new mom, I find it interesting that I am no longer grossed out by quite a few things... and usually end up being able to identify things that are going on with Lilah by the smell of her, well, her poopies. Also, I don't really care if I have make-up on until I realize that I actually forgot it, and forget about changing shirts and looking in the mirror for more than 3 seconds before I head out the door. I got home tonight after a quick run to do errands (sans Lilah) and realized that, not only did I have spaghetti sauce on my shirt, but I also had it on my FACE! Oh well, at least I didn't run into anyone I know.
Lilah has found her voice in the last week, and now when I go to pick her up because I think she is fussy, she really is just talking to herself. She has learned to roll over and does it all of the time. She knows that she can move her legs, but hasn't gotten the arm-leg connection and that it can get her places. Sheesh! She is just growing so fast! She also decided that she doesn't like to lay in her bed and have room, she likes to lay in her bed so her head and feet are touching the sides, holding her rabbit, her burp rag, AND her blanket. Lilah has also shown me that she is a musician... I know, but she was singing to the Eagles in the car the other day, and every morning since then. Again, she has found her voice.
Will has been busy trying to keep busy, and I have been just plain busy. D'Ette has been a Godsend - and really, I am glad she told me I could bring Lilah to work, because I am not so sure I would actually want to work if I had to take her to day care. Work has been great though, and I really love working from home, running errands, and especially doing home inspections!
The weather has been cold and dreary, but I caught myself today listening to the song "In the Summertime" by Mungo Jerry and thought... "It isn't snowy, it isn't freezing. There are leaves on the trees, grass in the yard, and cotton in the air." That made me happy :o)
Now, I am off to wash the spaghetti sauce off my face. I wonder how far I will make it before I think to do something else...
