New Footage!!!

So, here it is! Lilah loves to push this thing around the living room.

Also, here is my little sneaky girl getting into the wipes while mommy was in the other room for a MILLISECOND!!

By the time I put the camera down she had pulled ALL of them out. She has done this once before, but Will got to her before I was able to whip out the camera.

Birthday fun and Raggedy Ann

Okay, so I think I have gotten the hang of this cheese, click, plug, load, fix, upload, blog! process. The key is that you actually HAVE to do it. Lilah is changing so much every day. It is amazing to see, especially looking back over pictures of the last year. I have pictures from my phone that I need to upload as well, but that is just one more step since I actually have to start up my mac.

Tonight Lilah took her first steps... she was actually pretty mad, because all she wanted was for me to hold her, and I kept putting her back to walk to me! That only worked once...

So, here are a few pictures of the Princess Lilah household:

Here is Lilah in her first hammock. The Daddy Hammock.

Looks like mom got ahold of the camera while I was away running a few errands. This picture is one of her favorites - she got it from her grandpa, my great grandpa Woody. My grandma Sue even remembers it as a kid.

Well, sun this time of year is a wonderful thing as well.

Lilah getting into the Miller Highlife box.

Lilah on her birthday. The present is from Great-Grandma Sue. I had no idea what it was until I got it out of the box (still wrapped) and then the lightbulb went off over my head! Lilah had just woken up, and Will got the day off. I think I was more excited than Lilah was.

She was so entertained with just the bows. I kept putting them on her head, and she would take them off and try putting them on my head or the dog's head.
Ahhh! Raggedy Ann! She really had a good time pointing out her eyes and nose, and playing with her red yarny hair.

Giving Raggedy Ann kisses! Awww!

Birthday Girl - she loves those bows, they are still in her Huggies "toy chest".

to catch you up...

So, another year is almost past and Lilah is almost one!!!
I am terrible about blogging because, really, I just don't have the time.

Here are a few pictures of Lilah that will catch you all up...

The first few are of her in her Hawaii outfits sent by friends who actually live there! It is Luau time inside, yet still very much winter on the outside. This cute little outfit was perfect because it was short enough for her to still be able to crawl around in.
She isn't really a dress girl, but man oh man did she know what to do with it. It never went up over her head like my over-the-head-dresses did, she just flung it around like she was doing a cute little dance.

I think this is my favorite. She liked it quite a bit, too. She was either blowing kisses or saying thank you... which has me singing Elvis Blue Hawaii... Thank you, thank you very much...

This one was super cute as well, but she REALLY didn't like it. I think the pants were a little too snug on her little legs. But, it is still way cute.

Ahhh, here is a normal picture. Will got ahold of the camera and caught both of them with funny faces!

I love this picture. Not only is a sleeping baby a beautiful thing, but that bear actually looks like he is cuddled up next to her, not the other way around!

This was mommy's attempt at rice at home... woah boy, big mistake. Next time I will use sticky rice, and not give her so much. Thank goodness for the dog. She had it all hoovered up before you could say DYSON! Where is her bib, you say? Well, it is on the floor where she put it. She really doesn't like bibs.

And, here is the last of the pictures. Taken on her first snowmachine ride, she was squeezed in between Will and I, plus, was bundled in a snow suit all warm and tidy. She didn't mind the ride at all, but, it wasn't really the highlight of her day, either. You can tell from her face... Hmmm, I think I have even seen Will make this face before. This is the hurry-up-and-take-the-picture-I-am-cold face.

So, that is it for now... until next time!

Girdwood and Fun with Grandma and Papa

It was a big long weekend! First I picked up my lovely girly friend Mai Li from the airport at midnight on Friday night. We got up early Saturday to go shopping - here is the view from the sky bridge of the 5th Ave Mall... It was so pretty and the sky was so blue and the moon was so full. It was early enough that the mall wasn't completely packed, yet...

Will's company Christmas was this past weekend. Statewide Door and Glass appreciates their employees so much that they take us to dinner at the Double Musky and then put us up in the Prince Hotel for the night. It is something that we look forward to every year. This was our 4th Christmas party with the company and we had a great time. Last year I was 7 months pregnant and went to bed early. This year, it was a little different. Since I am still nursing, I decided it would be best if we brought our babysitters. We were able to get mom and dad a room at the hotel and they agreed to play with Lilah for the night.
Granted, this picture in NO WAY represents the wonderful deliciousness of this dish - it is crab stuffed Halibut with a cajun yumminess on top. It usually comes with veggies or baked potato or rice - but this year I was able to get it with whipped sweet potatos! WOOHOO!! Dinner was great, and we mosied out of the Double Musky around 7:30 - a good 3 hours after we got there.

We made it back to the hotel in time for me to see Lilah, grandma and papa out to dinner and just in time too! I guess a company provided a private fireworks display - it was amazing! We caught about 20 minutes and saw the coolest fireworks. This what I was able to catch with my phone through the glass at the 4th floor lobby.
We headed to the Sizmark for some drinks and fine entertainment, and were dropped off at the bottom of the hill by the local shuttle. This is the view of the mountain as we were walking up the hill - you might not notice, but the white light next to the orange street light is actually the moon! It was pretty cold that night!

Inside there was great friends, great drinks, and great entertainment. A friend of mine was playing that night at the sizmark and after a few razzberry smirnoff and 7-ups, I got Brenda to dance with me! hahaha
I got Mai Li to join in the festivities, too! We shared a cosmo as well. I sure missed her!

So, as we were partying the night away, so were Papa, Grandma, and Lilah. Papa, so named by Lilah, showed Lilah how to play bowling on the iphone. I love this picture, she looks so into it!
She also got a kick out of the full length mirror and had fun with the baby on the other side... :o) Makes me think that we should do that here at the house.

Mom and dad thanked us for bringing them down to play with Lilah. I am so glad they had a good time, too!
Well, another year, another Statewide Christmas party down. Now it is time to start looking forward to next years party!

The fun times and the nap times

Well, this is what we see now at the house... there isn't much room for her to crawl like crazy at our house, so she is pulling herself up on EVERYTHING. This little scrunched nose thing she does when she is really entertained. It sure entertains us! She will go to wherever the dog is and play with Lonnie's feet and just scream with delight. Lonnie is still fairly weary of Lilah, but Lilah seems to be fearless.
Will started to make a little pen out of the play pen and the ottoman(sp?) which gives her a huge area to play in - she loves it.

Will put her in the clothes basket and pushed her quickly up and down the hall. She had a blast. This is such a cute little picture - doesn't it look like she is making the sign for "I love you"!

Here is one of Will pushing her down the hall. will would stop pushing and she would look up at him and try to move the basket by herself. she was having a grand old time! hahaha, doesn't really look like it though.

Here is Lilah's crib - finally, after 7 months, I broke down and decided that she needed a crib... *sigh* it was harder on me than her to sleep in her own room. We got a great deal on the crib, which comes with a changing table/night stand and clothes bin - plus a pull out drawer for under the crib. This is what I wake up to every morning, she pulls herself up there and will just sing and play until mommy wakes up! haha
Her face is a little funny in this picture - she is in the middle of playing with her lips...speaking of which, I need to get a little video of the cute thing she is doing now... I don't know where she came up with it, but it is so cute!
She is already 9 and a half months. She is just growing up so fast. I have told her to stop, that growing up just leads to bills and mortgages and stuff, but she keeps telling me that she has to grow up some, cause grandpa dave wants to take her to disneyland so bad! oh well, hee hee, I want to go too :o)
I will leave you with a video - Lilah in her jump up seat, falling asleep... I don't think she has done this for a little while, but she loves to jump, I even catch her doing it in her sleep.

My snow bunny

I still am amazed at my beautiful child!

Let's see if this will work!

Here is a cute video of Lilah enjoying her jumper seat! She loves it and it helps us do things around the house now that she is crawling, ya know, like showering... :o)

And here is one of Lilah's first bath sitting up. She LOVES to splash! You might even be able to hear an Alaskan Barking Spider...

That is all for now. Will is in Ketchikan for the week, so we will see if I can catch any of our fun on video!
